BASIC PHOTOSHOP - CS4/CS5 STAGE 1 BEGINNERS
The three LINE+LIGHT Photoshop CS4/CS5 days are designed to be taken sequentially. They are a great way of filling in the holes in your knowledge and putting the power of a great piece of software at your fingertips!
There is more to learn about Photoshop than simply how the various tools and features work - and our training teaches you how to use the together to make your pictures look their best.
Stage One is designed for absolute beginners to the programme.
Amongst many topics covered
- Setting up the programme to work effectively with your computer
- The main menus and creating your own 'workspace' so that you can use Photoshop quickly and efficiently
- The Toolbox - essential tools you need - and those you don't!
- Photoshop file types - which to use and when
- Re-sizing photos and understanding resolution
- Basic photo adjustments such as cropping, adjusting exposure, using saturation & vibrance
- Basic and advanced cloning techniques
- Using colour in Photoshop
- Using Layer Styles for image presentations with impact
- Basic image sharpening techniques - when to do it, why, and how to do it well!
And much, much more.......
If you have Photoshop on your laptop, do bring it with you on the day. Expect to take notes to complement those we give you. This is an intensive day, but a valuable start to proficiency with this major software. Owners of CS4 and CS5 will best enjoy this course. If you have an earlier version, you're welcome to join us BUT you will find that certain tools have been upgraded, and may struggle to benefit from all that the day covers.
