Classroom Courses
On our LINE+LIGHT classroom days, you will be part of a group learning to improve your skills with Adobe Software, or getting to grips with your digital camera. Our days are fun as well as educational- photography is a fantastic hobby and we want to you enjoy your time with us!
DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY STAGES 1, 2 & 3
St.Mary’s Church Hall, Wollaton Hall Drive, Wollaton, Nottingham, NG8 1AF and Papplewick Pumping Station for some Stage 1 Digital Photography courses (see further down).

Wollaton Hall Drive is off the main Nottingham-Derby Road (A6200/A52) quite close to the main entrance of the Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC).
BY BUS
From Nottingham city centre, use the NCT orange line 34, 35, 35a, 35b, 36, 37. they all stop outside QMC (Queens Medical Centre), just across the road from our venue. The single fare is £1.60

Sherwood Methodist Church is located on the main A60 Nottingham-Mansfield Road, approx 2 miles north of the city centre. The small car park is on Devon Drive, a side street off Mansfield Road
BY BUS
Nottingham City Transport services 56,57,58,59,87,88 & 89 run every few minutes from Parliament Street. The single fare is £1.60 and the journey takes just a few minutes. They all stop on Mansfield Road, just ask the driver.

Bramcote Memorial Hall is situated next to Bramcote Church in the old part of Bramcote Village. There is carparking at the venue and on the street frontage. Failing this, St.George's Playing field has a large car park only 200yds away.

BY BUS
Trent Barton Buses leave Broadmarsh centre every ten minutes on Saturdays, the line is Rainbow 4 headed for Derby, via Bramcote and Sandiacre. Just ask the driver to tell you when you're near Church Street.

We suggest traveling either north or south on the M1 leaving at either Junction 29 or 29A depending on your direction. Bolsover is a small town with the castle situated in the centre, which is only 10 mins from the M1 Junctions. There is a free car park adjacent to the entrance. HISTORIC BUILDINGS - PAPPLEWICK PUMPING STATION

Papplewick Pumping Station, Rigg Lane (Off Longdale Lane), Nottingham, NG15 9AG

Papplewick Pumping Station is NOT in Papplewick Village (which is some three miles to the west), but instead on a rural lane between the A60 Nottingham-Mansfield Road and the A614 Nottingham - Doncaster Road.

For public transport, buses run frequently between Nottingham and Mansfield and we suggest using a service which will drop you by the Seven Mile House pub near Burnstump. We will then collect you and take to the station for our day. We will then drop you back at the appropriate location to commence your journey home at the end of the day.

HISTORIC BUILDINGS - NEWSTEAD ABBEY
Newstead Abbey, Newstead Abbey Park, Ravenshead, Nottinghamshire, NG15 8NA
Newstead Abbey is accessed directly from the main A60 as it runs through the village of Ravenshead some 9 miles north of Nottingham, and 6 miles south of Mansfield.
Buses stop outside the main gates, and if traveling by public transport, please call us ahead of your day so that we may come and collect you and your kit, as its a very long walk down through the park to the Abbey itself. If traveling by car, announce yourself to the gate attendant, and they'll let us know you're on your way. The main drive is a mile or so long, park in the car park opposite the cricket pitch at the bottom and come to the main door on the west side of the Abbey.

DAYS OUT - HOW TO SHOOT HISTORIC INTERIORS
Bromley House Library as at the
edge of the Old Market Square in the centre of Nottingham. We strongly advise
making use of public transport for this day, as city centre carparking is now
very expensive for a full day. The tram stops within 100 metres of the venue
and park and ride sites are at Queens Drive for those entering the city from
the south and west (A52, A453), or Phoenix Park for those leaving the M1 at
Junction 26. For north and east directions, there is a tram park & ride on
The Forest, on the A60, or a bus Park & ride at Colwick Racecourse
A6011.

University of Nottingham's main campus- Lakeside Arts Centre

The campus is 2 miles to the west of Nottingham city centre, on the
intersection of the A52 and A6005 (4 miles from Junction 25 of the M1) See link

Lines 13 & 14- Brown lines are the frequent NCT services running from the city centre. Fares are £1.50 and buses stop outside the south entrance to the campus. Cross the road and walk to the Arts Centre (copper roof) by the side of the lake.

8 miles from the M1, leaving at Junction 28 tking the A38 for Alfreton. Leave after 2 miles for Alfreton (A61). Immediately, take the left fork A615 for Matlock, and after 1 mile, at the traffic lights turn left for South Wingfield, B5035. Go through the village and on to Crich Following the brown tourist signs.

There are regular services to Crich from Matlock & Alfreton. If you're coming from Nottingham, we suggest arranging a lift with one of us prior to the day as there are no direct services from Nottingham.

DAYS OUT - BIRDS OF PREY EXPERIENCE
After meeting up in Kegworth (details below) we travel to the Falconer's base near Daventry (a journey of around 45 minutes, mainly on the M1 motorway).
MEETING PLACE - (THE FIELD IS IN A RURAL LOCATION, NEAR WILLOUGHBY, NORTHANTS SO WE MEET UP FIRST AND TRAVEL ONWARDS TOGETHER)
At Packington Hill, Kegworth, DE74 2DF outside the Kegworth Whitehouse Hotel. (Do not enter car park – wait near the entrance at the bottom of Packington Hill).
Directions: If you are approaching from the North down the M1, take the main Junction 24 turn – off to Kegworth. At the top of the slip road turn left on to the A6 towards Kegworth. After around 1/3rd of a mile you will see a right fork which is Packington Hill. Fork right and you will see the entrance to the Kegworth Whitehouse Hotel on the left. We meet at that point on Packington Hill (Don’t enter the car park as you may need a token to get out!).
From M1 South or M42. When you reach Jn 24 go right on the island and take the A6 to Kegworth. Follow above directions from there.
From here we make our way in a convoy to the Falconer’s location which is a trip of around 45 minutes. His precise location will be provided on the day. For those traveling independently from Leicester or further south, please call us and we'll give you directions.
