ADOBE ELEMENTS 8 (STAGE 1 AND 2)

Adobe’s popular photo-manipulation software is more powerful and useful than ever. In two full day sessions, we take you from the basics- to advanced use of the programme and its tools.

 

Designed for photographers who have access to Adobe Elements 8 software,  use their digital camera to shoot jpegs and would like to increase their skills.

 

Stage 1 takes you through:

  • The basics- an introduction to the software and the use of the 'organizer' to identify, keyword tag and make an easy-to-use library of your images.
  • Development of skills through clear examples and hands on activity.
  • Workflow through the 'edit' section to make your pictures sing! We guide you through the automated features and introduce the full editing capabilities.

 

Stage 2 guides you through:

 

  • The introduction and use of layers and 'enhance' tools.
  • Uploading to the web using on-line programmes such as Flickr and  social networking applications
  • Projects such as making slide shows, albums, and calendars. 

 

The courses are held in Nottingham and our room has tables and power supplies should you wish to bring your Photoshop equipped laptop for use. Please note that we demonstrate Elements 8 using PC's, not MACs, and whilst you are welcome to bring your MAC, we find there are a few differences in layout and keystroke commands between the two computer types, and familiarity with the MAC interface is essential in order to follow the course.

COURSE TIMES: 10.00am – 4.45pm
Tea or coffee will be provided in the morning and afternoon breaks.
Lunch is not included but there are kitchen facilities at our venues and local food stores nearby.
