DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY - STAGE 2
IMPROVING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY
The second of two days designed to take newcomers to digital photography – or those with holes in their knowledge – from fine tuning the technical skills which we introduced on the first course, to compositional (and therefore creative) control to make really GREAT pictures.
This day is aimed at DSLR and bridge camera users. We suggest compact camera owners talk to us prior to booking as some models have limited functions- we expect to cover topics in far greater detail than on our day one course.
The day includes:
- A recap on the correct use of aperture and shutter speeds
- How to compose an image for maximum impact.
- How to use wide angle, zoom and telephoto lenses creatively.
- Understanding and controlling depth of field.
- Introducing how the colour of light affects your pictures.
- Using RAW as a choice for shooting
- Advice on choosing your post production software and archiving your images.
Weather permitting we spend much of the afternoon out and about putting our skills into practice. As with Stage 1, expect this day to be intensive, but great fun.
