LANDSCAPES. GARDENS AND BUILDINGS
STAGE 2 ADVANCED -
TUESDAY 9TH JUNE 2009
Four experienced photographers came together at the University of Nottingham’s stunning contemporary Jubilee Campus on a day of beefy skies and glimmers of sun for an intense, but fun day using unfamiliar equipment to broaden their skills.
As well as spending time improving their compositional and technical prowess using water gardens and modern buildings as their subject matter, our guests were keen to have a go with proper TSE perspective control lenses, and were blown away by the results they were able to achieve compared with their usual kit.
Martine was bombarded with queries about which ones to have and how much one should pay for this specialist gear- she quite thought she should retrain as a Canon or Nikon Rep by the end of the day! After having a go at replicating book covers and shooting styled interiors, the class retreated to the base room to have a look at the day’s shots, and everyone declared the experience a success- in fact they’re all coming back for more ‘advanced courses’ with LINE+LIGHT later in the season (see comments below).
If you want to join Martine for a similar day - we have places for our new season for Stage 1 on 16th September, 4th November 2009, 24th February and 14th April, 2010 and for Stage 2 - 18th March 2010 - so fill in the reservation form now!
