Paul Mottram BA (hons)

Paul Mottram BA (Hons) has been a partner in Line+Light since the beginning, and is known for his widely regarded video training and Learn Photography programme which he has run for several years.

The early part of his career was spent globe trotting with the American broadcaster CBS, for whom he was a cameraman on their multi award winning documentary magazine programme ’60 Minutes’. This work took him as far afield as Kazakhstan where he filmed the results of nuclear testing, to Mali with David Attenborough, Florida with Richard Branson and to Nigeria where they looked at the financial corruption targeted at westerners.

Today he’s still filming and lighting interviews regularly, but a little closer to home, which enables him to have the time to lead workshops where his expertise is second to none. Paul has run CPD for organisations such as The Big House and takes his tuition into industry and higher education institutions such as Nottingham Trent University where video content is required. He has trained camera operators and video production units who are making the transition from traditional video into large sensor 4K output and is able to tailor make workshop modules for clients. For practices whose teams are at an early stage in their photographic learning, or wish to create video content, Paul is your ideal Line and Light Partner.

He is DBS cleared to work with children and vulnerable adults. To see his website and showreel, click here

I had a great day with Paul from Line and Light hitting all the big numbers with long Lenses, high ISO numbers and fast shutter speeds. Now need a long downloading and sorting session, but pictures look good!
