ACROSS THE CITY - DAY 1
The first of two days based in Nottingham aimed at those who enjoy photographing landmarks and scenery but would like to get even more from their camera on their days out and city breaks.
Designed for photographers who have some experience with their digital camera and want to improve their skills using citylife as subject matter.
The day includes:
- An informative & enjoyable walking tour of Nottingham centre taking in a variety of buildings, interiors, squares, canalside and cityscapes.
- Top tips on controlling your camera whilst shooting scenery, streetscapes and views in variable weather.
- How to make interesting compositions using buildings, squares and waterside scenes, and your choice of viewpoints.
- Learning how, why and when to use different focal length lenses and to spot interesting details.
- Winter itineraries include dusk photography
These lively courses are based at Nottingham Castle from where we share techincal information before going down into the city. Nottingham has a canal running close to the city centre where we can capture a great mix of waterway bars, restaurants, boats and people. In addition, we shall be visiting a mixture of award winning buildings, sculptures and landmarks, many of which feature in Martine’s 2006 book NOTTINGHAM TRANSFORMED.

COURSE TIMES:
10.00am – 5.00pm with lunch break and two comfort breaks. Tea or coffee will be provided in the morning and afternoon at The Castle. Lunch is not included but there is are numerous eatires in the city centre where we may take a break.
