Adobe Lightroom – Stage 1

Lightroom’s digital workflow provides a powerful tool allowing you to get the most impact from your images as well as keeping track of them in a visually intuitive interface. However, that’s just the tip of the iceberg with this software, and our courses are designed to boost your knowledge of Lightroom’s capabilities and open up new ways of using it too.

These individual day courses take you from import through to cataloguing, keywording, raw processing, finishing & output and assumes no prior knowledge.

The Stage 1 day includes

  • initial software set up and preferences
  • importing images and catalogue structuring within the ‘library’ module
  • getting to grips with the ‘develop’ module (Raw processing)
  • workflow skills workshop; your turn to put it all together and develop your own images creatively

If you have Lightroom installed on your laptop, do bring it with you on the day. Expect to bring sample images to work on and to take notes to complement those we give you. These are intensive days, but a valuable guide to increasing your proficiency with this popular Adobe software.

We will be teaching on the full version of Lightroom CC 2017, and users of version 5 will benefit from the day but need to be aware that as the programme has been upgraded from earlier versions, certain features have been enhanced.
