LINE+LIGHT run photography courses and individual tuition in photography & Adobe Photoshop for AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHERS only. If you are thinking of starting a career in photography, or are a pro looking to invest in training, please see the 1:1 tuition pages.
Line + Light Photography School was conceived in 2007 when the renowned photo tutor Robert Rowe began working with long established architectural photographer Martine Hamilton Knight. Before long, Paul Mottram, Martine’s partner in the business began running video training & workshops and Dan Billings joined to become the school’s fourth tutor. In 2017, we were lucky enough to be able to add the renowned Fuji-X travel and landscape photographer Chris Upton to our team as well. If you attend the weekend workshops, you’re also likely to meet Melanie Rowe who organises hospitality for our photographers.
Together we’ve taught hundreds of camera users, from the very basics right through to the level of skilled enthusiasts. We’ve had clients who’ve loved their photography so much that they’ve even gone through career changes and now run successful businesses in photography. We’ve had friendships form between regular attendees who’ve gone on to join camera clubs and win awards with their images. We love hearing the stories and seeing the pictures which our friends have taken, long after they’ve completed their training with us. We hope you’ll stay in touch too!
In addition to running our popular series of courses and training, we run courses in association with WEX and The Royal Photographic Society and as part of their CPD programme, specialist architectural photographic workshops for the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects).
